Unclaimed money, state by state.
Every US state runs an official unclaimed-property registry, and searching yours is free. Below is a direct link to each one — plus Canada. Start with the states you have lived in.
Searching is always free. Never pay a fee just to search.
Before you start
- Property is reported to the state of your last known address — check every state you have lived in, not just your current one.
- Search name variations: maiden names, middle initials, misspellings, and former legal names.
- Also search for relatives whose estates you may represent.
- Claiming through the official registry is free. Finder services charge a fee; many states cap it by law.
